Sole trader ABN, GST and PAYG registration fees

We first check whether a sole trader structure is suitable and whether GST or PAYG registration is required.

The fees below are fixed and include GST.

Sole trader ABN registration $125

For small businesses or individual services operating as a sole trader. GST and PAYG can be added where required.

GST registration only $77

For clients who already have an ABN and need GST added.

PAYG withholding registration only $77

For clients preparing to employ staff or withhold PAYG from wages.

If the ATO requires manual review, ABN approval can take longer. We will follow up based on ATO requirements.

Fixed fees, no hidden charges.

Sole trader ABN FAQs

Is an ABN the same as a company?

No. A sole trader ABN means you operate in your own name. A company is a separate legal entity.

Do I always need GST after getting an ABN?

Not always. GST depends on turnover, industry and specific requirements.

How is ABN income taxed?

Sole trader income is reported on your personal tax return, with business records kept separately.
